TalentVX Interview

TalentVX interviews are conducted on Skype Video and recorded using the TalentVX Recorder.

The TalentVX Recorder is a desktop tool
developed to enable interviewers to record
and mark live video interviews. It can then
upload selected interviews and data to the
TalentVX website for review by selected
Stakeholders.

The three tag types are Highlight, Question
and Comment. These are linked to the
arrow keys on any standard PC keyboard.

During an interview you can bookmark
important events while you are recording.
These bookmarks are known as Tags and
will be saved and uploaded when you
upload your interview.

When Stakeholders are reviewing the uploaded
interview, the tags placed while recording are
available to click on and quickly skip to places
of interest within the interview.

For example, if one stakeholder is only interested in candidate answers to question 4, they can skip to the 4th question and answer by clicking on the Q4 tag. The interview will continue playing from this point. Stakeholders can click on as many tags as they want anytime, to watch only the highlights or to repeat questions. Tags are great time savers for everyone.

Uploading

Using the TalentVX Recorder, completed interviews
can be uploaded within minutes.

Simply start the TalentVX Recorder, login, click
the Upload Tab, then click ‘Upload Interviews’ button.

You can browse, play interviews and edit data on your
recently recorded interviews before uploading.

Interviews will be available online as soon as
they are uploaded.

To assist in the secure management of interviews, all
interviews not uploaded within 2 weeks are deleted.

Uploaded interviews are hosted at TalentVX for
6 months, however any interview can be hosted
indefinitely if required.

What's needed to run the TalentVX Recorder?

In short, a higher end PC, like what a teenager might use for playing games. Candidates just need access to a computer and webcam for the interview.

In Detail -
1. A Dual Core PC with 1 GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card (not an integrated graphics card. See our FAQ on how to check for a dedicated graphics card). Making, and especially recording video calls, requires a fast but not necessarily new PC. Currently TalentVX Recorder works on PCs and 2008 model Macs (using Leopard in Boot Camp) , with Windows XP or Windows Vista.

2. Skype (version 3.8 or greater). The TalentVX interview application records Skype video interviews (Skype is a popular internet phone and video application). As an interviewer, you must have the latest version of Skype installed on your machine. Skype is free to download and use.

3. To make a video call you need a web camera and hi-speed Internet connection.
